Upcoming Changes to the Institution Account

Over the past few months, we have been working on a series of changes to improve the overall experience of using Snowflake.  These changes have been based on user feedback.  We are always looking for ways to improve Snowflake and would like to thank our users for their continued support and feedback.

Recent Changes
Changes were made to the administration interface during August in order to make the day-to-day processes easier for schools.  Feedback regarding these changes was positive.  A summary of the changes can be found here.

Upcoming Changes
The next change to be released will alter the way that digital subscriptions are handled.  The main feedback that we received from administrators was that subscription end dates no longer line up over time, making management and budgeting difficult.  We are working on a new subscription model which will be released in December 2018.

The changes will include:

  • The subscription time for new publications will be reduced to 12 months from 15 months, or 24 months from 27 months.  This reduction will be reflected in the pricing, and school discount will now be included when digital only subscriptions are purchased directly from us. The subscription time for existing publications will remain at 15 months or 27 months.
  • Partially used subscriptions will be totalled up when unassigned and credited to your account. No more left-over subscriptions!
  • Schools who buy physical textbooks can purchase that amount of renewals at a discounted rate.  The number of subscriptions you can purchase at a discounted rate will reset annually on either 1 January (southern hemisphere schools) or 1 July (northern hemisphere schools).  Subscriptions for two year courses such as the IB Diploma will reset every two years.
  • Institution managers will soon be able to purchase subscriptions from within the institution account by credit card and have those subscriptions added immediately to the school account – no need to wait for a quote!

Our detailed help page provides step-by-step instructions on how to use your account and will be updated as changes are implemented.  Our Sales and IT support teams will be available to assist you through the transition.  If you have any questions or would like assistance with your account, please contact us by emailing info@haesemathematics.com.
