More updates to the Snowflake institution account

Over the past few months, we have been working on a series of changes to improve the overall experience of using Snowflake.  These changes have been based on user feedback.  We are always looking for ways to improve Snowflake and would like to thank our users for their continued support and feedback.

On Monday 1st April, we will be releasing the following changes to the institution account and registration process:

  • Existing institution management accounts will be migrated to normal user accounts with a new type of institution membership (Institution Admin).  As a result, institution administrators will now be able to view digital books. There will still only be one institution administrator per school, but the administrative privileges can be transferred to another account if required, by promoting a confirmed Teacher Admin.
  • User accounts with Institution Admin membership will have all the access of Teacher Admins, plus the ability to edit institution details, access advanced features, and manage administrators.
  • The registration process for an institution management account will be replaced with a sign-up request form that will be sent to our customer service team for actioning. This will prevent users from inadvertently creating an institution in Snowflake when only student or teacher access is required, and will also prevent schools from having multiple Snowflake institutions for the same purchases.
  • The number of emails sent when new members are added and subscriptions are assigned will be reduced.  One email will be sent which includes the invitation/registration instructions and also the details of the subscription that has been assigned.

Our detailed help page provides step-by-step instructions on how to use your account and will be updated as changes are implemented.  Our Sales and IT support teams will be available to assist you through the transition.  If you have any questions or would like assistance with your account, please contact us by emailing info@haesemathematics.com.
